My Experience

During the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 NBA G League seasons, I interned for the Delaware Blue Coats, the NBA G League affiliate to the Philadelphia 76ers. While with the team, I wrote exclusive online content for their website. I also worked on-site every game as one of the team's leading media personnel, which gave me the opportunity to interview players and coaches. During the 2022 MiLB season, I interned for the Wilmington Blue Rocks, the High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals. During my time there, my main duty was to write player features and game recaps for the team's website. I had the opportunity to interview players, speak with professionals in the sports industry, and gain experience while working in Minor League Baseball. From 2019-2023, I attended Rowan University in pursuit of obtaining my bachelor's degree. While there, I volunteered and worked as a sports writer for the campus's newspaper, the Whit. Much like a professional journalist, I served as the newspaper's beat writer for the Rowan women's lacrosse team (2021), the Rowan men's basketball team (2021), the Delaware Blue Coats (2020-2022), and the Wilmington Blue Rocks (2021-2022). In the Fall of 2019, I began my four-year career as a Rowan University student. I have taken a variety of English, journalism, and sports communication courses through the school that have helped me grow my overall skillset. Many skills that I have grown and obtained during my time there include writing, website design. public speaking, media professionalism, and social communication. While studying as a student, I also worked for Rowan's Athletics as both a website writer and sports statistics assistant. Throughout my writing career, I have done freelance writing for a handful of websites. Two websites that I have had the privilege of working with are Lastwordonsports.com and Sportstalkphilly.com. Partnering with these entities has given me the opportunity to post my work to popular platforms. These affiliations have also allowed me to gain experience working with SEO and grow my skills as a content writer.
